Lanthanein Resources Limited (ASX: LNR), an emerging Australian mineral exploration company, has successfully completed the first stage of diamond drilling at the Lady Grey Project, located in the Mt Holland region of Western Australia’s Yilgarn Craton. This marks a critical milestone in the company’s exploration of high-priority targets, aiming to identify significant gold and base metal mineralisation in a historically rich mining area.
The Lady Grey Project, situated adjacent to Covalent Lithium’s Mount Holland lithium mine and near the historic Bounty Gold Mine which produced approximately 1.3 million ounces of gold is regarded as a prime location for new discoveries. Lanthanein’s recent drilling efforts have focused on testing a modelled Moving Loop Electromagnetic (MLEM) conductor plate under EM Line #6. This target is aligned with a strong gold geochemical anomaly and a regional structural zone known for hosting gold mineralisation. Initial results from the diamond drilling program are promising, with core samples currently undergoing logging, cutting, and preparation for laboratory assay. The company expects assay results to begin arriving within the quarter, providing further insights into the project’s potential.
Brian Thomas, Technical Director of Lanthanein Resources, expressed enthusiasm about the progress, stating that completing the diamond drilling at the Lady Grey prospect is particularly exciting given the strong correlation between the conductor plate and the gold geochemical anomaly. He noted that despite seasonal and operational challenges, the team has efficiently progressed exploration and looks forward to the assay results guiding the next phase of development.
In addition to the drilling completion at Line #6, Lanthanein has received approval from the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) for the Programme of Work (PoW) to proceed with drilling at the MLEM conductor plate under Line #1. This new drilling program will target an even higher-ranking conductor plate coinciding with a 256ppb Ultra-Fine Fraction (UFF) soil gold anomaly, further enhancing the company’s exploration strategy. Preparation activities are already underway for this next phase, including refurbishing access tracks, drill lines, pads, and sumps to ensure an efficient and effective drilling campaign.
The continued exploration success at Lady Grey aligns with Lanthanein Resources’ broader strategy to expand its footprint in gold and base metal exploration. By systematically testing high-priority geophysical targets in prospective regions, the company is positioning itself as a key player in Western Australia’s mineral sector. The Lady Grey Project benefits from its strategic location within a prolific mining district, with well-established infrastructure and proximity to major mining operations. This positioning enhances logistical efficiency and opens potential opportunities for future partnerships and project synergies.
Thomas further highlighted that receiving approval for the next phase of drilling at Line #1 is a significant step forward. The area exhibits even stronger geochemical indicators than Line #6, and the company is eager to assess its potential through targeted drilling. Lanthanein Resources remains well-funded to execute its planned drilling activities, focusing on prudent capital allocation to maximise exploration success. The company is also evaluating strategic funding options to support further project development as results from ongoing assays guide future investment decisions.
As the global demand for gold and base metals continues to rise, Lanthanein’s proactive exploration approach positions it to capitalise on potential resource discoveries. The company’s technical team remains committed to unlocking value at Lady Grey, leveraging modern geophysical and geochemical techniques to refine drill targets and advance exploration efficiency.
With diamond drilling now completed at Line #6 and preparations underway for the next phase at Line #1, Lanthanein Resources is poised for an eventful year ahead. The company’s near-term focus will be on receiving and analysing assay results, refining geological interpretations, and executing the next phase of exploration with an emphasis on high-impact drilling targets. Investors and stakeholders can expect further updates as the company progresses with its exploration strategy at Lady Grey and other high-potential prospects within its portfolio.
Lanthanein Resources remains dedicated to responsible exploration, sustainable development, and value creation for shareholders as it continues to advance its mineral projects in Western Australia.
